Historical Notes: Led by game MVP Jeff Cohen’s eight goals, Syosset won their second straight Nassau Class A championship by downing Long Beach, 19-7. Cohen scored four straight goals in the second quarter to give the Braves an insurmountable 10-3 lead with less than two minutes left before halftime. The Marines were led by Max Weisenberg who won 15 of 21 faceoffs and scored two goals.
