Thursday-Late Games Roundup

There were four games played later on Thursday. The results were: 

Staples (Ct) 17, Massapequa 5: Michael Durnin scored three goals and added an assist for Massapequa (2-4) in this non-league game against Staples (4-0), the defending Connecticut state champions. 

Port Washington 12, Cold Spring Harbor 9: The Vikings jumped out to an early lead in their 12-9 non-league win at Cold Spring Harbor (5-3). Luke Meyer and John McCarthy each scored three goals for Port Washington (4-2) and McCarthy had an assist as well. Max Enyon made 11 saves and Alex Papagalis won 12 of 15 faceoffs for Port. 

Seaford 20, LI Lutheran 6: Longstick Jake Anzelone scored three goals, added two assists and had thirteen ground balls for Seaford (4-3) in their non-league win over LI Lutheran (0-4). Tim Navin scored five goals and added and assist, and Andrew Tudda had three goals and an assist for the Vikings. 

The Woodlands (Texas) 8, Garden City 7:  Luke Danna scored the game winner with 7.8 seconds left for The Woodlands (13-2).
