Garden City won their 10th state title in school history today by defeating Canadaigua (Section V), 14-5, at Hobart College. Sophomore Anthony Asaro scored four goals and added an assist and junior Charlie Koester added three goals and three assists to lead the Trojans (21-2). Luke Cascadden won 16 of 19 faceoffs and had 12 ground balls for Garden City, who last won the Class B title in 2023 and led 12-0 at halftime over a Canadaigua squad that finished the year 19-3. Koester finished the season with 99 points (66 goals, 33 assists) and Cascadden totaled 321 faceoff victories and 200 ground balls.
