Tuesday Results
On Tuesday, Conference C/D took center stage with five games, including wins by Mineola, Seaford, Wheatley/Carle Place, Carey, and Cold Spring Harbor. The remaining contest was a high scoring victory by New Hyde Park in Conference B.
Mineola 18, West Hempstead 3: A total of ten players scored a goal for Mineola (5-5) in their 18-3 win over West Hempstead in a Conference C/D. Jack McCormack led the Mustangs with two goals and five assists and Joe O'Connell had seven points as well via three goals and four assists. Dan Clark led the Rams (3-6) with 22 saves in goal. New Hyde Park 15, Sewanhaka 1: Aidan Garvey (5g-4a) had nine points and Nicholas Rios scored five times and added an assist for New Hyde Park in Conference B. The Gladiators improve their record to 5-6. Jalen Brown made 18 saves for Sewnahaka (0-11). [ BOX SCORE]
Wheatley/Carle Place 8, Clarke 3: Blake Lyons (4g) and Chris Demicco (3g) totaled seven goals for Wheatley/Carle Place (7-3) in their Conference C/D win over Clarke (5-3). The Rams were led by goalie Joe Buffalino who made 17 saves. [ BOX SCORE]
Carey 7, Friends Academy 3: The Seahawks improve to 8-2 with a Conference C/D win over Friends Academy (4-4). Mike Verderosa scored twice and added three assists for Carey and Rich Metzger made 13 saves in goal to earn the win. [ BOX SCORE]
Cold Spring Harbor 10, Lynbrook 2: The Seahawks outscored Lynbrook (5-5) 4-0 in the first quarter and never looked back in their Conference C/D victory. Sophomore Alex Bauer and 8th grader Roy Testa each scored three goals and Testa added an assist for Cold Spring Harbor (6-5). [ BOX SCORE]
