Monday: North Shore Dominates, Carey and Clarke Earn Close Victories

North Shore 14, Oyster Bay 7: Matthew D'Aversa led North Shore (6-6) with two goals and six assists. Cole Gibstein tallied four times and won 11 of 15 faceoffs and Jack Kaufman had six points (3g-3a) for the Vikings. Leading Oyster Bay (6-4) was Jake Macri with one goal and two assists, Jagger Romano with two goals and one assist, and Joseph Gotti with two goals. [ BOX SCORE] 

Clarke 17, Great Neck South 14: Lucas Barsuaskas had six goals and two assists to lead Clarke (7-3) in non-league. , Gabriel Cobham (2g-4a), Aidan Peters (1g-5a), and Justin Somyak (5g-1a) each totaled six points for the Rams. Peter Hlampeas had a goal and six assists and Demetri Stavrinides scored five times and added an assist for Great Neck South (6-4). The 31 combined goals from both teams made this game one of the highest scoring in Nassau County this season.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Carey 8, Floral Park 7: Mike Verderosa had three goals, including the game-winner with seven seconds to play, for Carey (9-2) in non-league. Matt Metzger had tied the score for the Seahawks at 7 with 42 seconds to play. Chris Obertis led Carey with two goals and two assists. Marcus Mega and Ben Meighan each scored two goals for Floral Park (3-8) and Meighan had an assist as well.    [ BOX SCORE]
