A small group of games were played on Saturday, May 6th, all of the non-league variety. . The results were:
Great Neck South 16, West Hempstead 0: Ten players scored for Great Neck South (7-5) in the Rebels' non-league win over West Hempstead. Leading the charge was George Toumbekis (5g-2a), Peter Hlampeas (1g-4a), and Dylan Guriel (3g-1a). Dan Clark made 25 saves for the Rams (3-10).
Elmont 10, Hempstead 7: The Spartans (5-8) outscored Hempstead 3-0 in the pivotal third quarter en route to a 10-7 non-league victory over Hempstead (4-8). Dennis D'Kahri (3g) and Steve Lambert (1g-3a) were the offensive leaders for Elmont and Julius Sylvain-Jankins made 16 saves to earn the win in goal. Jakkai Stith (4g-1a) and Chris Lake (3g) scored all the goals for the Tigers.
Farmingdale 15, Bronxville 1: Brendan O'Keefe had four goals and three assists to lead Farmingdale (10-3) in non-league. Caden Lennon scored five goals and CJ Mangio won 11 of 14 faceoffs for the Dalers. Luke Arrighi made 21 saves in gola for Bronxville (Section One).
MacArthur 13, Hewlett 8: The Generals were led by Joe Forchelli who scored five goals and had two assists in the non-league win over Hewlett (6-6). MacArthur's Connor Larkin tallied three goals and Paul Lichter won 17 of 23 faceoffs. Ryan Goodman (4g-1a) was the high scorer for Hewlett and goaltender Daniel Lankari made 17 saves. MacArthur improves to 7-6 with the win.
Clarke 16, Valley Stream 3: Lucas Barasuaskas and Gabriel Cobham each had four goals and three assists for Clarke in a non-league win over Valley Stream (3-12). The Rams (8-4) also received three goals from Justin Somyak. Joe Marrone scored twice for Valley Stream.
Seaford 15, Wheatley/Carle Place 2: Peter (5a) and Daniel (3g-3a) combined for eleven points to lead Seaford over Wheatley/Carle Place (8-5) in Conference C/D. Tim Navin scored four goals and had an assist for Seaford (8-6) and longstick Jake Anzelone had a goal and totaled 15 ground balls. James Demakopoulos made 12 saves for Wheatley/Carle Place.
