Tuesday: Island Trees Defeats Bethpage
Island Trees 8, Bethpage 7: Luke Forde won 15 of 19 faceoffs and John Echezuria scored three goals to lead Island Trees (8-5) in Conference C/D. It was the first win in school history for Island Trees over Bethpage (6-8).
Manhasset 17, Floral Park 3: Twelve players scored for the Indians who won their 21st straight game dating back to last season. Manhasset (13-0) was led by Jared Beschel who scored three goals, Liam Connor who had four assists, and Donald Mack who had two goals and two assists. Steven Baranowski tallied three goals for Floral Park (4-10).
Wantagh 12, Lynbrook 1: Antony Tsakos scored four goals and Devin Paccione had two goals and two assists to lead Wantagh (10-4) in Conference C/D. Jake Lunati made 21 saves for Lynbrook (6-8).
Plainedge 19, Mineola 6: Braden Donnellan (2g-4a) and Caden Morra (3g-2a) combined for 11 points to lead Plainedge (11-3) over Mineola (7-7) in Conference C/D. Twelve players scored for the Red Devils, who also received two goals and three assists from freshman John Mooney. Tommy Renner scored three goals for Mineola.
North Shore 12, West Hempstead 1: Jack Kaufman (2g-3a) and Matthew D'Aversa (3g-2a) each had five points to power North Shore (7-8) over West Hempstead (3-11) in Conference C/D. Dan Clark made 14 saves in goal for the Rams.
Clarke 16, Lawrence 6: Justin Somyak (4g-4a) had eight points and Luke Barsuaskas (2g-5a) had seven points to lead Clarke (9-5) in Conference C/D. Lawrence drops to 5-10 with the loss.
Hicksville 14, Malverne/East Rockaway 4: The Comets (6-6) were led by James Kelly who had four goals and three assists in a non-conference win at Malverne/East Rockaway (3-10). Brendan Dalton chipped in with three goals and two assists for Hicksville. Robert Staubitz and Jaden Taylor each scored two goals for Malverne/East Rockaway.
Hewlett 9, Locust Valley 3: Hewlett (7-6) defeated Locust Valley (8-6) in Conference C/D. Conner Terrell had a goal and an assist for the Falcons.
Late Result:
Cold Spring Harbor 8, Carey 2: Hayden Calabretta, CJ Reilly, and Alex Bauer each scored two goals to lead Cold Spring Harbor (8-6) over Carey in Conference C/D. Reilly added an assist as well, and Reagan Reilly and Roy Testa had one goal each. Carey is now 11-3.
