Class A Semifinal Results

Port Washington 8, Massapequa 7: #2 seed Port Washington defeated #3 Massapequa in the Nassau Class A Semifinals at Hofstra University last night. The Vikings (13-4) used a 4-1 third quarter to propel themselves to the win and were led by attackman Chase Pastalove who had three goals and one assist. Jack Marcus had a goal and two assists and Luke Meyer scored twice, raising his season goals total to 53. Fot the Chiefs, Matt Jannotte made 15 saves in goal, Will Birney scored three goals, and Patrick Radomski had a goal and four assists. Massapequa finishes at 9-9. Port Washington, the defending Nassau Class A champions, will play Farmingdale at 5:00 pm at Hofstra on Tuesday, May 30th for the championship. 

Farmingdale 11, Syosset 6: Top seeded Farmingdale scored the first four goals of the game and defeated #4 Syosset (11-7), 11-6 in the Nassau Class A Semifinals at Hofstra University last night. Caden Lennon scored three goals and Brendan O'Keefe had two goals and two assists to lead the Dalers offensively. Syosset was led by goaltender Zachary Finkelstein, who made 11 saves and Adam Giovinco who had a goal and two assists. Farmingdale (15-3) plays Port Washington on Tuesday, May 30th for the Class A championship at Hofstra at 5:00 pm.
