Garden City Runs Win Streak to Eight on Monday

Garden City 8, Northport 4
The Trojans won their eighth straight game by defeating three-time Suffolk Class A champion Northport on the road, 8-4. Andrew Ottomanelli scored three goals and both Dan Mejdid and Carson Kraus scored twice to lead Garden City (11-2).  [ BOX SCORE] 

South Side 14, Roslyn 9
South Side improved their record to 11-1 with a 14-9 Conference B/Power League crossover win at Roslyn. Cornell commit Michael Melkonian won 20 of 25 faceoffs, Michael Aiello had four goals and five assists, and Cullen Lynch scored four times to lead the Cyclones. Josh Berger scored six goals for the Bulldogs (8-5).  [ BOX SCORE]

MacArthur 13, Locust Valley 7
Ryan Fitzgerald scored six goals and added three assists to lead the Generals over host Locust Valley in non-league. Connor Larkin tallied two goals and assisted on two others for MacArthur (8-5). Will Nabet, Charlie Pisciotta, and Gavin Boyd each scored two goals for the Falcons (1-12).   [ BOX SCORE] 

Sewanhaka 12, West Hempstead 6
Kevin Papar totaled six points (3g, 3a) to lead Sewanhaka past West Hempstead in non-league. Steven Ortiz had two goals and two assists for the Indians (5-7), and Gavin Lee had four goals and two assists for the Rams (1-11).    [ BOX SCORE]
