Blake Lyons scored in the second overtime on a pass from Nic Pascarella to lead Wheatley/Carle Place over Hewlett in a Nassau Class C play-in game. With the victory, the Wildfrogs advance as the #10 seed to play at Lynbrook, the #7 seed, today in a first round game at the Marion Street School in Lynbrook.

Wheatley/Carle Place scored the last three goals of the game, after trailing by two in the fourth quarter. Matt Babino scored to tie the game at six with 3:25 left in regulation. Lyons led the Wildfrogs (9-8) with two goals and four assists and James Demakopoulos made eight saves in goal. Daniel Lankri made 16 saves for the Bulldogs, who finished the season at 8-8.  [ BOX SCORE]
