Plainview JFK Defeats Long Beach For the First Time in 27 Years!
Plainview JFK 9, Long Beach 8
Juniors Alex Kantrowitz and Nick Altmann each scored four goals to lead Plainview past Long Beach in non-league. Kantrowitz (pictured left) had an assist as well and junior Jake Ilardo made 20 saves for the Hawks, who had last beaten Long Beach in 1998.
Sophomore Cian Donaghy scored four goals and added an assist for the Marines (0-3).

Massapequa 8, Carey 6
Matt Pettis scored four goals to lead the Chiefs down Carey (3-1) at home in non-league play. Michael Jannotte made 11 saves and added an assist for Massapequa. Attackman Tyler Byrnes had three assists as the Chiefs improved to 4-0. For the Seahawks, senior goalie Rich Metzger made 20 saves, which pushed his career total past the 500 saves mark.
