Saturday, April 5th- Locust Valley Knocks Off Herricks

Locust Valley 12, Herricks 11
The Falcons improved to 3-1 with the League 2 win over visiting Herricks (2-1). Leading the scoring for Locust Valley was senior midfielder Owen Pye with two goals and four assists and 8th grade attackman James Fox who scored four goals. The Highlanders, who suffered their first defeat, were led by senior attackman Troy Madden who had three goals and four assists and  sophomore attackman Nate Kershaw who finished with three goals and an assist.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Plainview JFK 18, Sewanhaka 6
Max Schwartberg and Chris Tripoli both had four goals and three assists to lead Plainview JFK past Sewanhaka (0-4). Brett Lipins won 16 of 17 faqceoffs for the Hawks (3-1). Sewanhaka senior Kevin Parapar and junior AJ Ayau each scored twice.   [ BOX SCORE] 

New Hyde Park 10, Valley Stream 3
Seniors Nicholas Garofalo (1g, 4a), Eamon Griffin (3g-0a), Jacob Keiper (1g-2a), and Tito Ruiz (3g-0a) led the Gladiators to the League 3 victory over host Valley Stream (0-2). Junior goalie Junior Robert made 17 saves and had an assist for Valley Stream (1-1).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Baldwin 9, Malverne-East Rockaway 2
Preston Kirchner led Baldwin with five goals and two assists and Jake Stevenson addeed six assists to power Baldwin (3-1) over visiting Malverne-East Rockaway (3-3) in League 3 play. Matthew Delligatti was involved in both goals for MER, scoring one and assisting on the other.   [ BOX SCORE] 

Mepham 12, Hicksville 2
Mepham defeated Hicksville in League 2 play thanks to sophomore Connor O'Rourke's three goals and two assists.  Sophomore attackman Steven Zweigbaum had three goals and and an assist and senior attackman Alessandro Walaitis had a goal and three assists for the Pirates (2-2). 8th grade Chris Suflay made 14 saves in goal for the Comets (1-2). [ BOX SCORE] 

Floral Park 15, Mineola 2
The Floral Park defense held Mineola scoreless for more than thirty consecutive minutes in the Knights 15-2 League 2 home victory. Senior attackman Steven Baranoski scored five goals for Floral Park and senior midfielder Michael Palumbo had a goal and an assist for the Mustangs (0-3). It was the first victory of the season for Floral Park (1-3).    [ BOX SCORE] 

Lynbrook 12, Jericho 3
Senior attackman Eddie Stradowski had seven assists to lead Lynbrook past Jericho (3-1) in League 2. Senior Bennet Votano and sophomore Patrick Algozzini each scored three goals for the Owls (2-1) and Voltano added an assist. Senior Josh Rubin assisted on all three Jerichop goals and Jonathan Perlman made 15 saves in the loss.   [ BOX SCORE] 

MacArthur 15, Wheatley-Carle Place 1
MacArthur was led by senior Ronan Donnelly who had  two goals and four assists in the Generals (2-2) League 2 victory over Wheatley-Carle Place (2-3).  Senior Gavin Thompson and sophomore Aidan Raab each scored three goals, and Raab added an assist. Sophomore Jack Ryan scored the lone goal for the Wildfrogs.  [ BOX SCORE] 



Island Trees 13, Division Avenue 4
Senior defender Joseph Mainente led Island Trees (2-1) over Division Avenue with three goals, three assists and eight faceoff wins in eleven draws taken. Senior goaltender Anthony Saragossi had nine saves and went coast-to-coast to score a goal for the Bulldogs.  Division (1-1) junior goaltender James Armellino made 23 saves in the loss.  [ BOX SCORE] 

North Shore 15, Great Neck South 3
North Shore (1-2) junior attackman Angelo Anobile had eight points to lead the Vikings to the League 2 victory over Great Neck South.  Sophomore midfielder James Clancy added three goals and four assists for North Shore and senior Max Levinson had two goals for GNS (1-1).   [ BOX SCORE] 

East Meadow 12, West Hempstead 6
Sophomore Noah Garner led East Meadow with five goals and an assist in the Jets (2-1) road win over West Hempstead. Junior Thomas Primrose added three goals and an assist and and senior Bryan Tauber had four assists for East Meadow .West Hempstead (2-3) 8th grade attackman Brendan Rooney had three goals and two assists, and senior  David Maldonado added two goals and two assists.
