Garden City, South Side Defeat Top Section I Competition

Cold Spring Harbor 12 , Syosset 3
Junior midfielder Alex Bauer (Michigan commit) scored three goals and had two assists to lead Cold Spring Harbor (4-1) past Syosset. Sam Bruno added two goals and an assist and Roger Testa scored twice for the Seahawks. Aiden Cleary won 11 of 19 faceoffs for the Braves (2-3). The CSH defense held Syosset ace Brody Waxer (also committed to Michigan) scoreless. [ BOX SCORE] 

Bellmore JFK 12, West Hempstead 1
Bellmore JFK improved to 3-1 this year with a League 3 win at home against West Hempstead. Seniors Ryan Califano (4 goals) and Matthew Sarfati (3g,1a) led the way for Bellmore JFK. Sophomore CJ Siegler won all ten of his faceoffs for the Cougars. Brendan Rooney scored the lone goal for West Hempstead (2-4). [ BOX SCORE] 

Hicksville 13 , Clarke 6
Hicksville moved to 2-2 on the season with a 13-6 home victory over Clarke in non-league. The Comets were led by Mike Gilbert with six goals and one assist; Brendan Dalton with two goals and seven assists; and Jack Ferraro with four goals. Junior attackman Liam Morgan scored three goals and senior Elijah Richard made 20 saves in goal for Clarke (1-4).    [ BOX SCORE] 

Roslyn 11, Bethpage 9
Attackmen Josh Berger and Gavin Ryback each scored three times and added an assist to lead Roslyn (4-1) past host Bethpage in non-league.  Zach Mashaal made 16 saves and Ethan Goldberg won 13 of 24 faceoffs foer the Bulldogs.  Senior attackman Andrew Reinhardt scored five times and assisted on two more for the Golden Eagles (2-2).   [ BOX SCORE] 

Garden City 13 , Rye 9
The Trojans defeated Rye (1-1) of Section I by the score of 13-9 in a game played at SUNY Farmingdale.  Garden City improves to 3-1 with the non-league victory. Tyler McDermott of Rye scored five goals and had an assist. 

South Side 15 , Yorktown 11
In a rematch of last year's NYS Class B semifinals, South Side defeated Section I opponent Yorktown 15-11. South Side (4-1) was led by sophomore attackman Luke Mullen, who scored eight goals and added two assists. Senior Cullen Lynch scored three times with an assist, and juniors Jack Muscarella and Brendan Vetter each had a goal and three assists. Yorktown is 2-1.   [ BOX SCORE] 

Port Washington 6, Carey 1
Max Eynon made 13 saves to lead Port Washington over Carey (3-1) in League 1. Port Washington (4-1) was led offensively by Harry Eynon and Tommy McCarvill who each had two scores and an assist. For Carey, senior goaltender Rich Metzger made 16 saves Christian Todaro scored the lone Seahawks goal. Port Washington is now 1-1 in League 1 and Carey is 0-2.  [ BOX SCORE]
