Class A Playoff Updates

In the quarterfinal round of the Nassau Class A playoffs, both higher seeded teams advanced to face each other in the semifinals. Top seeded Syosset (15-2) defeated #8 Hicksville, 18-3, in a game that was finished today after an overnight weather delay. Brody Waxer led the Braves with three goals and four assists and teammate Giovanni Accardo added five goals and an assist. Syosset led 15-0 at halftime and had nine different goal scorers. The Comets finished at 7-10. BOXSCORE

Farmingdale defeated Oceanside in the other Class A quartefinal played on Wednesday. Farmingdale, the #4 seed, was led by Jake Kunz who had four goals and three assists. Sophomore Jack Watrous added a career-high four goals for Farmingdale, who outscored Oceanside 4-1 in the final quarter. The Saliors, the #5 seeed, were led by Brady Nardone with three goals and an assist and finished the season at 11-6. BOXSCORE
