Garden City Advances in Class B

Garden City, seeking their 30th Nassau County title, defeated Roslyn, 15-6 in the Nassau Class B semifinals at Hofstra. The Trojans (17-1) will play the winner of Manhasset and Bethpage next week.  Sophomore attackman Ben Smith led Garden City with three goals and two assists. With the score 5-3 in the second quarter, Garden City scored four consecutive goals to take a commanding 9-3 lead into halftime. Their dominance continued in the third quarter wthey scored six more goals and held the Bulldogs (13-5) to only one tally. Sophomore Zach Psilakis made 6 saves in the first quarter and 9 overall for Garden City while Zach Mashaal finished with 14 stops for Roslyn, who finished the season 13-5.
