NASSAU PLACES THREE SQUADS IN THE NYS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Massapequa (Class A), Manhasset (Class B), and Cold Spring Harbor (Class D) all won their semifinal games yesterday at Middletown High School and advanced to Sunday's NYS championships at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva. Nassau last placed three teams in the finals in 2023 when all four games featured Nassau squads and 2022 when three teams advanced to the last day. In all, Nassau has had at least one champion every year since 2009, not including the COVID impacted years of 2020 and 2021 when no state championships were held. The streak is at 15 seasons and counting and no other NYS section has been close in this catagory.
