Historical Notes: Manhasset, led by two goals from Steve LaVaute on assists from Garth Weber, defeated Sewanhaka 4-3 to win the Nassau County championship. With 1:30 left to play in the fourth quarter, Weber intercepted an errant clearing pass from goalie Rich Haughton and found LaVaute for the winning score. Steve Menninger led Sewanhaka with a goal and an assist.
