Tuesday: Syosset Defeats Mercer Island, Plainedge and Carey Win Big

Hewlett 11, Wheatley/Carle Place 5: Mark Mariasch led Hewlett (2-2) with two goals and eight assists and Ryan Goodman added four goals. James Demakopoulos had 20 saves for the Wildfrogs (5-3). [ BOX SCORE] 

Plainedge 12, Bethpage 3: Braden Donnellan scored five goals to lead Plainedge to the win. Caden Morra (1g, 3a) and Travis Acquillino (2g, 2a) were also big scorers for Plainedge (5-1). Bethpage (2-4) goalie Jake Kelly made 22 saves in the loss.   [ BOX SCORE] 

North Shore 12, Herricks 11 OT: Luca Korte scored in OT on an assist from Cole Gibstein to win the game for North Shore (4-2).  The Vikings were led by Jack Kaufman (4g-2a), Matthew D'Aversa (3g-1a), and Sawyer DeSeve (4g-0a). Andrew Fabiilli made 14 saves in goal for North Shore while Tommy Gaudio led Herricks (1-5) with a goal and four assists.   [ BOX SCORE] 

Malverne/East Rockaway 8, Lawrence 7:  Cameron Lewis finished with five goals including the game-winner with about two minutes remaining. Matt Delligatti finished the game with 1 goal and 5 assists for Malverne/East Rockaway (2-3). Kody Kirchner had two goals and three assists while Dexter Robinson totaled six points (3g,3a) for Lawrence (3-4).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Manhasset 16, Lynbrook 4: Leading the scoring for Manhasset (5-0) were Daniel Kolin (3g-3a), Liam Connor (4g-2a), Matt Cargiulo (3g-1a), and Aidan Haggerty (2g-1a). Cal Girard and Tyler Giacobbe combined to win 18 of 24 faceoffs. There was no report from Lynbrook (3-2) at post-time.    [ BOX SCORE] 

Syosset 7, Mercer Island (Wa) 4: Syosset defeated Mercer Island (Wa) 7-4 behind four goals from Dylan Stadler. The Braves (3-2) netminder Zachary Finkelstein made nine saves to earn the win.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Carey 17, Mineola 9: Ben Rose won 20 faceoffs for Carey in a win in a 17-9 win over Mineola. Matt Metzger had five goals and one assist to lead Carey (3-2). Mike Verderosa added four goals and two assists while Christian Todaro had two goals and six assists. Mineola's (4-3) Joe O'Connell had four goals and one assist.

Seaford 8, Locust Valley 7: Down 6-5 entering the fourth quarter, Seaford (3-3) outscored Locust Valley 3-1 in the final twelve minutes to earn the victory. Owen Hickey scored three goals and added an assist for the Falcons (3-2). As of post time there was no scoring report for Seaford.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Massapequa 18, Plainview JFK 2: Ten players scored in the game for the Chiefs (2-3), led by Michael Durnin with two goals and five assists and Jack Garguilo with three goals and one assist.     [ BOX SCORE] 

Wantagh 18,  Floral Park 6: Leading the scoring for Wantagh (6-1) was Danny Fisenne (5g-2a),  Devin Paccione (1g-4a), and Antony Tsakos (1g-3a). Steven Baranoski had four goals for Floral Park (3-3).

Cold Spring Harbor 16, Island Trees 3: CJ Reilly had six points by way of three goals and three assists to lead Cold Spring Harbor (5-2). Alex Bauer scored four times and Carson Kirchner made 12 saves for the Seahawks.
