Wednesday: Wantagh, Bethpage, and Calhoun With Close Wins
Wednesday had a huge slate of eighteen games in Nassau. The results include a come-from-behind win for Wantagh at home against Plainedge, a three overtime game between Bethpage and North Shore, and a tight game between Calhoun and Long Beach.
In Conference A:
Syosset 13, Hicksville 6: The Braves improve to 7-4 with a road with at Hicksville (4-5). Adam Giovinco (3g-3a) and Brody Waxer (5g-1a) each tallied six points to lead Syosset. The Comets were led by Brendan Dalton's goal and four assists and 13 saves from Frederick Giovanelli. [ BOX SCORE]
Farmingdale 16, Plainview JFK 1: Brendan O'Keefe scored two goals and had four assists, all in the first quarter, to lead Farmingdale (7-3) over Plainview JFK. Eleven players scored for the Dalers, including a career best three goals from Peter Matheis. Sam Erich made 16 saves for Plainview JFK (4-8). [ BOX SCORE]
Massapequa 21, East Meadow 0: Fourteen players scored for Massapequa (6-5), led by four goals and two assists by Patrick Radomski and two goals and three assists each by Aidan Christie and Michael Durnin. East Meadow is 1-7. [ BOX SCORE]
Port Washington 18, Baldwin 2: Eleven different players scored for Port Washington (6-3), including Luke Meyer (2g-2a), John McCarthy (2g-2a) and Joe Braunshweiger (3g). The Bruins fell to 7-3 with the loss. [ BOX SCORE]
Valley Stream 10, Uniondale 5: Joe Marrone scored five goals and had two assists for Valley Stream (2-9). Stephen Pulsifer scored three time and added two assists for the winners. Kalam Howlett led Uniondale (0-12) with three points (2g-1a).
Oceanside 17, Hempstead 0: Andrew Greco (3g) and Jake Perinchief (3g-1a) led Oceanside (6-4). Andrew Cagno and Declan Costello combined for ten saves to earn the shutout. Hempstead fell to 4-6 with the loss. [ BOX SCORE]

Garden City 14, Roslyn 5: Henry Gibbons (3g-2a), Jack Archer (2g-2a), and Andrew Ottomanelli (2g-2a) were the high scorers for Garden City (7-3). Alex Gatto led Roslyn (8-2) with two goals and two assists. [ BOX SCORE]
Calhoun 9, Long Beach 7: Calhoun (9-2) was led by Jayden Finkelstein's two goals and two assists and ten saves from Mark Restivo. Jeffrey Conway scored three goals for Long Beach (6-4). [ BOX SCORE]
Mepham 16, Jericho 9: Owen Heller tallied nine points (4g-5a) and Alessandro Walaitis had eight points (6g-2a) to lead Mepham (4-7). Anthony DiSalvo won 18 of 28 faceoffs for the Pirates. Glen Cove 11, Elmont 7: Nick Ladeairous scored four goals and Ben Conger-Kielbasa had three goals and two assists for Glen Cove, who picked up their first win of the season. Matteo Cameron made ten saves in goal for Glen Cove. Elmont fell to 3-8 with the loss. [ BOX SCORE]
Great Neck South 14, Great Neck North 8: The Rebels won the battle for Great Neck by outscoring North 10-5 in the second and third quarters. Pete Hlampeas and Harry Toumbekis both had six points by way of three goals and three assists and Demetri Stavrinides scored four times for Great Neck South (6-3). Manhasset 16, Island Trees 5: Undefeated Manhasset (9-0) received goals from eleven players en rout to a 16-5 win at Island Trees (5-5). Liam Connor (2g-3a) was the high scorer for the Indians, and Aidan Haggerty scored three times and added an assist. Kian McCoy scored twice for Island Trees. [ BOX SCORE]
Wantagh 10, Plainedge 9: Trailing 9-6 entering the fourth quarter, Wantagh (8-3) outscored the Red Devils 4-0 in the quarter to earn the come-from-behind win. Danny Fisenne (3g-2a) and Antony Tsakos (1g-4a) led the Warriors in scoring. Kyle Conklin made 10 of his 12 saves in the second half for Wantagh. Bethpage 11, North Shore 10, 3OT: Sean Smith (2g-2a) scored the game winner in the third overtime off a feed from Kyle Gensinger (1g-4a) to lift Bethpage (6-4) over North Shore. Jake Kelly led the Golden Eages with 15 saves in goal. North Shore (4-6) was led by senior Jack Kaufman (2g-3a), Matthew D'Aversa (4g-1a), and Sawyer DeSeve (3g-1a). [ BOX SCORE]
