Saturday - Results From A Full Slate of Games

Wantagh 12, Comsewogue 9
8th grader Luke Martini had six goals to lead Wantagh (2-2) past Comsewogue (1-2) in an inter-county matchup. Sophomore Devin Paccione had two goals and four assists and Will Greaves won 16 of 25 faceoffs for the Warriors. [ BOX SCORE]

LaSalle Academy (RI) 6, Garden City 5 OT
Charlie Koester had two goals and an assist for Garden City in a 6-5 overtime non-league loss to LaSalle Academy of Rhode Island (1-0).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Massapequa 12, Scarsdale 5
Freshman Rocco Spallina had four goals and two assists for Massapequa (3-2) in a non-league win over Scarsdale (1-2) from Section One (Westchester). Matt Pettis had three assists and Michael Jannotte made 10 saves for the Chiefs.   [ BOX SCORE] 

North Shore, Friends Academy

Hicksville 13, East Meadow 6
James Kelly had two goals and seven assists and Jesse Brentrewicz scored five goals to lead Hicksville (2-1) past East Meadow in Conference A. Jack Caracciola had three goals and two assists for the Jets (1-3). [ BOX SCORE]

Seaford 15, Bellmore JFK 4
The Vikings won their 3rd game of the season by downing visiting Bellmore JFK (1-3). Seaford (3-1) was led by Peter Barone (2g-2a), Daniel Barone (3g-0a), Tim Navin (2g-1a), and Brian Falk (3g-0a). Bellmore JFK was led by  junior midfielder Zach Greenseid who had two goals and one assist. [ BOX SCORE] 

Floral Park 13, Mepham 10
Floral Park raised their record to 4-0 with a non-league on the road at Merpham (3-1). Attackman Steven Baranoski scored five times and M/A Owen Sanchez added five points via two goals and three assists for the Knights. Owen Heller (3g-2a), and Alessandro Walaitis (3g-0a) were the leading scorers for the Pirates. [ BOX SCORE] 


Mineola 13, Baldwin 7
Mineola remained undefeated at 5-0 by defeating Baldwin in non-league.  Matthew McCarthy had seven points (3g-4a), Rusty Carr had six points (3g-3a) and won 14 of 18 faceoffs, and Jack McCormack added three goals and two assists. 
Senior A/M Brady Mahler scored four goals for the Bruins (1-2). [ BOX SCORE] 

Glen Cove 10, Freeport 7
The Big Red picked up their second win of the year over visiting Freeport (1-3) in non-league. Nick Ladeairous scored seven goals for Glen Cove and Ben Conger-Kielbasa had three assists. Leading the scoring for Freeport was led by Joshua Corbin's four goals and Landon Daley's two goals and two assists. Wheatley/Carle Place 16, New Hyde Park 10
Nicholas Pascarella (7g-3a) and Blake Lyons (5g-5a) were the high scorers for Wheatley/Carle Place (2-3) in non-league. Cody McClean had six goals and one assist and Aidan Garvey added three goals and two assists for NHP (2-2). Matt Muntzenberger had 11 saves in the loss. [ BOX SCORE] 


Sewanhaka 13, Uniondale 4
Sewanhaka won it's first game of the season by defeating Uniondale on the road in non-league.  Steven Ortiz (3g-2a), and Samuel Castillo (4g-0a) led the way for the Indians (1-2). Kevin Parpar (1g-3a) and AJ Ayau (3g-0a) were also strong conributors on offense for Sewanhaka. Dennis Argueta made 10 saves for the Knights (0-2). [ BOX SCORE] 

Calhoun 7, Bethpage 6
Shaun Walters scored with 1:25 left in the second overtime to win the game for Calhoun over Bethpage (2-2) in non-league. The Colts scored three goals in the final 32 seconds of the game to force overtime.  Mark Restivo made 18 saves for Calhoun, who remains undefeated at 5-0. 

Farmingdale 13, West Islip 6
Senior attackman Brendan O'Keefe had five goals and four assists to lead Farmingdale (3-2) past West Islip (0-3) in an inter-county matchup. JJ Damo won 15 of 20 faceoffs and scored a goal and Dean Kott had three goals for the Dalers. [ BOX SCORE] 

Herricks 9, MacArthur 5
Herricks was led by Riley Royals (5 g) and Troy Madden (2g, 3a) in a non-league win at MacArthur (3-2). For the Highlanders (3-2), it was their first win over the Generals since 1999. Freshsman Ayden Khan made 11 saves to earn the win for Herricks.
