Monday, May 6th- Last Week Of The Regular Season Begins

As we enter the last week of the regular season, Monday had a light schedule of games. Let's start on Conference B:

Long Beach 14, New Hyde Park 9
Long Beach (10-4) was led by Maverick Chernoff (2g-4a), Charlie Conway (2g-4a), Luke Hartman (4g-1a), and Cian Donaghy (4g-0a) in a win over host New Hyde Park (6-9). Cody McLean had three goals and Logan Hargrove added three goals for the Gladiators (6-9). [ BOX SCORE] 

In non-league contests:

Farmingdale 8, Island Trees 5
Brendan O'Keefe had five assists and Caden Lennon scored three goals to lead Farmingdale (10-5) over visisting Island Trees. For the Dalers Sal Posillico added two goals and an assist and Jimmy Caputo made 12 saves in goal. Dominick Rich led the Bulldogs (9-6) with two goals and two assists. Junior Anthony Saragossi made nine saves in goal for Island Trees, which raises his career total past the 400 mark. With the victory, Farmingdale now has won at least ten games in a season in 23 of the last 25 years. [ BOX SCORE] 

Syosset 10, Bethpage 6
David Disque scored five goals and had an assist to lead Syosset (7-7) over visiting Bethpage. Owen Azevedo won 9 of 11 faceoffs for the Braves. Leading the scoring for Bethpage (10-5) was Chase Solliday with two goals and an assist and Jake Kelly made 12 saves in the win.   [ BOX SCORE] 

Sewanhaka 11, Holy Trinity 6
Jeff Connor made 11 saves in the win. Defensemen Nate Bal scored his first career goal and Sam Castillo had three goals for the Indians (6-9). [ BOX SCORE] 

North Shore 14, Wheatley/Carle Place 5
Matthew D'Aversa totalked ten points (5g-5a) to lead host North Shore over Wheatley/Carle Place. Sawyer DeSeve added seven points (3g-4a) and Alex Choi won 17 of 23 faceoffs. Griffin Pinter totaled 20 saves for the Vikings. Wheatley/Carle Place (8-7) received two goals from Nicholas Pascarella in the loss. [ BOX SCORE] 

Hicksville 14, Oyster Bay 10
Aiden Cromwell (4g-2a) and Brendan Dalton (2g-4a) were the high scorers for Hicksville (9-6) in a non-league win over Oyster Bay (8-7). Frederick Giovanelli made 17 saves for the Comets. Joseph Gotti led the Baymen with four tallies and Jake Macri scored two goals, including the 100th of his career, while adding an assist.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Glen Cove 10, Malverne/East Rockaway 6
Ben Conger-Kielbasa led Glen Cove with four goals and one assist. Matteo Cameron made 15 saves saves for the Big Red, which pushed his career total over the 600 mark (610 total). Leading the scoring for Malverne/East Rockaway (4-11) was Matthew Delligatti (2g-2a) and Cameron Lewis (2g-1a).  [ BOX SCORE]
