Massapequa 14, South Side 8
The Chiefs opened their season with a home non-league win over South Side (1-1). Massapequa scored the first four goals of the game and never looked back against the defending NYS Class B champions. Sophomore attackman Nolan Wieczorek led all scorers with three goals and four assists and Rocco Spallina scored four goals. Michael Jannotte made 19 saves in goal for the Chiefs. Cullen Lynch had two goals and an assist and Alex Notaro won 13 of 24  faceoffs for South Side. 

West Hempstead 10, Elmont 1
West Hempstead was led by 8th grade attackman Brendan Rooney who had five goals and four assists. Mohammad Boumik (1g-2a), David Maldonado (1g-2a), Rohan Mathai (2g-1a), and Kayden Nuzzi (2g-1a) each contributed three points. 

Carey 13, Long Beach 9
Cian Donaghy scored three goals and Aiden Derupo made 13 saves to lead Long Beach in their non-league home loss to Carey. 

Lynbrook 10, Calhoun 6
Luca Palleschi made 14 saves to lead host Lynbrook past Calhoun in non-league. The Owls defense held Calhoun to two goals in the second half. Bennett Votano led the scoring charge with two goals and two assists and Luke Dantona and Brandon Scala added two goals each.  

Wantagh 18, Kellenberg 12
Dylan Martini had seven goals and one assist, Devin Paccione added four goals and one assist, and Joe Nicholson and Luke Martini each scored three goals to lead Wantagh over Kellenberg in non-league.
