Roslyn improved to 2-0 with inter-county non-league win over Whitman (0-2). Josh Berger led the way with four goals and two assists and classmate Ethan Goldberg won 14 of 15 faceoffs. Zach Mashaal made 15 saves in goal for the Bulldogs. [ BOX SCORE]

Carey 9, St. Joseph's (NJ) 8
Trailing by a goal, Christian Todaro scored to tie the game with 36 seconds left in the 4th quarter for Carey (2-0). Mike Verderosa scored with 18 seconds left in the game to win the game for the Seahawks. Chris Obertis had three goals and one assist for Carey and Rich Metzger made 12 saves in goal. St. Joseph's of Montvale (NJ) New Jersey is 0-2.

Massapequa improved to 2-0 with a non-league victory over Mepham. Sophomores Nolan Wieczorek (2g-4a), Rocco Spallina (4g), and Sean Durnin (3g-1a) powered the Chiefs offense. Alessandro Walaitis and Owen Heller each scored three goals for Mepham. Vinny Ciro (13) and Nicholas Lemus (6) combined for nineteen saves for the Pirates (0-2). [ BOX SCORE]

The Highlanders scored 10 second quarter goals en-route to the non-league victory over Oyster Bay. Troy Madden had ten points (5g, 5a), Brayden Haase scored five times and added two assists, and Gavin Dugger totaled three goals and two assists for Herricks (2-0). Oyster Bay is 0-1.

The Warriors fell behind to East Islip early in the game, but raiiled to tie the score at 4 by the end of the first quarter. They proceeded to outscore East Islip 10-3 over the next two quarters to gain control of the game and pull out the victory. Wantagh (2-0) was led by Luke (4g-1a), and Dylan Martini (4g). Port Washington 5, Harborfields 4
Port goalie Max Eynon stopped a shot with under 10 seconds remaining to prserve the Vikings non-league intercounty victory over Harborfields. Eynon finished with seven saves. Port Washington’s Dylan Freeman and Griffin Marvin combined to win 12 of 14 face-offs and Harry Eynon scored twice. Port Washington is 3-0.

Freeport won its first game under new head coach Mark Andrejack by downing The Stony Brook School 7-5. Freshman Enrique Mendoza-Pineyro scored four goals, added an assist and won 10 of 12 faceoffs.
