Farmingdale Rallies to Defeat Mepham in OT

Farmingdale 8, Mepham 7 OT
Farmingdale (3-2) scored the final two goals of the game to avoid an upset bid from visiting Mepham in non-league. Kevin Renneisen (3 goals) scored on a feed from Dean Kott (2 goals, 3 assists) with 47 seconds left to tie the game at seven, and after a defensive stop in overtime, Josh Kama (left) scored unassisted to win the game for the Dalers. Farmingdale goaltender Matt Hughes had made a save with three seconds left to force the overtime. Steven Zweigbaum and Alessandro Walaitis each scored two goals and Vinny Ciro made 11 saves for the Pirates (2-3).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Glen Cove 7, East Meadow 6

Junior John Christ made 15 saves to lead a strong defensive effort for Glen Cove in the Big Red's 7-6 League 3 win over East Meadow. Senior Ben Conger-Kielbasa led Glen Cove (3-2) with four goals and an assist and Thomas Primrose scored three goals for the Jets (2-2).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Oyster Bay 11, Hempstead 5
The Baymen picked up their first win of the season defeating host Hempstead in League 3. Junior Brian Bonilla made 12 saves in his first start in goal for the Tigers and junior attackman Polite Jayden scored three goals for Hempstead (0-3).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Baldwin 7, Valley Stream 4
With the game tied at three to start the fourth quarter, Baldwin scored four of the game's final five goals to secure the League 3 victory. Senior Preston Kirchner led the Bruins with three goals and classmate Jacob Stevenson added a goal  and two assists. Baldwin improved to 4-1 and Valley Stream fell to 1-2.   [ BOX SCORE] 

Great Neck North 6, Malverne-East Rockaway 5
Daniel Perlman scored three goals and Charlie Li added two more to lead the Blazers (2-1) past MER in League 3 play. Brian Scheidt made 18 saves for Great Neck North, passing the 300 career save mark in the process. He now has 303 career stops. Hudson Arnold and Edwin Espinoza each scored two goals for Malvern-East Rockaway (3-4).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Friends Academy 14, Clarke 4
Sophomore attackman Ryder Marcus had two goals and five assists and freshman attackman Luca Kraska scored five times to lead Friends Academy (3-1) over host Clarke in League 3. Elijah Richard made 9 saves in goal for the Rams (1-3).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Uniondale 8, Roosevelt 3
Senior attackman Tyreque James scored had three goals and an assist to lead Uniondale past Roosevelt in League 3 action. Senior Oneil Webb, Jr. scored three goals for the Knights, who picked up their first win of the season. Senior attackman Alan Barcenas scored all of the goals for the Roughriders (0-3).

LI Lutheran 8, Long Beach 6
Junior Aiden Derupo made 11 saves and sophomore Ryan Farrell scored two goals for Long Beach in the Marines (1-4) non-league home loss to LI Lutheran (3-2). Kevin Morrison had a goal and three assists for the Crusaders.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Plainedge 12, Calhoun 7
Seniors Owen Donnellan (4g-2a) and Brian Keaveney (1g-5a) were the high scorers for Plainedge in the Red Devils League 1 victory over visiting Calhoun. Plainedge (2-2) built a 5-1 fist quarter lead that carried them to the victory over the Colts, who fall to 2-3 with the loss.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Lynbrook 6, Oceanside 5
Senior Luca Palleschi made 12 saves, his last coming in the final seconds to help Lynbrook defeat Oceanside in non-league.  Junior Brandon Scala scored a career high three goals for the Owls (3-1). The Sailors are 2-2.  [ BOX SCORE] 

North Shore 17, Wheatley-Carle Place 5
North Shore improves to 2-2, while the Wildfrogs fall to 2-4.  [ BOX SCORE]
