WEDNESDAY RESULTS- Wantagh Downs South Side

Let's take a look at the results from yesterday's games, starting with a full slate of action in the Power League:

Wantagh 15, South Side 11
In the game of the day, Wantagh (4-2) knocked South Side from the ranks of the unbeatens with a 15-11 home win. A huge fourth quarter that saw the Warriors outscore the Cyclones 4-0 proved to be the difference in the game. Dylan Martini scored four goals, Joe Nicholson had three goals and an assist, and Devin Paccione had four points via two goals and two assists for Wantagh. A great battle at the faceoff X featuring two of the best in Nassau saw Michael Melkonian win 16 of 28 against Will Greaves. Michael Aiello scored five goals and teammate Owen West added three more scores for the Cyclones.   [ BOX SCORE] 

Garden City 12, Massapequa 3
Andrew Ottomanelli scored five goals to lead Garden City over host Massapequa (3-4).  Dan Medjid had three goals and Luke Cascadden scored twice and won 12 of 15 faceoffs for the Trojans (5-2). [ BOX SCORE] 

Manhasset 11, Syosset 5
Manhasset improved to 6-2 with a 11-5 road win against Syosset. Patrick Arnold (5g-0a) and Daniel Kolin (2g-2a) led the way offensively for the Indians, and Brody Waxer scored three goals for the Braves.   [ BOX SCORE]

Cold Spring Harbor 5, Port Washington 3
James Grego made 17 saves to lead Cold Spring Harbor past Port Washington. Andrew Mazzei led the Seahawks with two goals. Port Washington fell to 1-5 with the road loss. [ BOX SCORE] 

In other games:

Farmingdale 16, Oceanside 6
Cuinn Sunde scored a career-high six goals to lead Farmingdale (5-2) over Oceanside.  Brendan O'Keefe had three goals and four assists and JJ Damo won 17 of 23 faceoffs for the Dalers. Brian Kraemer had three goals for Oceanside (5-2). [ BOX SCORE] 

Island Trees 11, Floral Park 2
John Echezuria had eight points (4g-4a) and Kian McCoy had three goals and an assist to lead Island Trees past Floral Park in Conference C/D. Steve Baranoski had a goal and an assist for the Knights (6-1), who suffered thir first loss for the season.    [ BOX SCORE] 

Seaford 15, North Shore 14
The Vikings moved to 6-1 overall with a 15-14 Conference C/D win over North Shore. Dan Barone had four goals and two assists and Jake Anzelone added three goals and two assists for Seaford. Matthew D'Aversa scored six goals for North Shore (3-3) and Sawyer DeSeve had seven points via three goals and four assists.     [ BOX SCORE] 

Hewlett 4, Locust Valley 3
Daniel Lankri made 17 saves to lead Hewlett (5-2) past Locust Valley in Conference C/D. CJ Maiorano led the Bulldogs with two goals and an assist. Connor Terrell had a goal and an assist and 8th grade Grayson Iannotti made 14 saves for the Falcons (1-6). [ BOX SCORE]

Bethpage 15, Bellmore JFK 0
Bethpage (5-3) had their third shutout victory of the season with a 15-0 win over Bellmore JFK (2-6). Andrew Reinhardt had five goals and an assist, and Charlie Abramo and Luke Waxer each had two goals and two assists for the Golden Eagles. [ BOX SCORE] 

Lynbrook 14, Mineola 3
Lynbrook knocked Mineola from the undefeated list with a home victory in Conference C/D. The Owls (3-4) were led by Michael Hendrickson who had five goals and an assist and Caiden Lung who totaled 13 saves in goal.  Jack McCormack scored two goal for the Mustangs (7-1).   [ BOX SCORE] 

Oyster Bay 10, Lawrence 1
Chris Lingen had three assists and Joseph Gotti had three goals in a Conference C/D win over Lawrence (0-7). Jagger Romano added two goals and an assist for the Baymen (4-2).   [ BOX SCORE] 

Clarke 9, West Hempstead 5
Clarke (1-7) picked up their first win of the season by defeating Clarke in Conference C/D. Lucas Barsuaskas led the way with six points (3g-3a) for the Rams, and Gavin Lee had two goals and two assists for the Rams (1-6).
